Dschou

Dschou ( Persian جو, DMG ǧau , ' barley , barley grain') or Gou was a unit of weight in Iran and in Talysch , a former state in today's Azerbaijan , which is based on the weight of a stye . Until the 14th century it was equivalent to 0.045 grams , later 0.048 grams. The weight corresponded to ¼ tasū or 1/18 dāng , or 1/96 mithqāl (temporal size 1 M. = 4.3 to 4.6 grams).
