Djemal Kartschadze
Djemal Kartschadze ( Georgian ჯემალ ქარჩხაძე ; * 1936 in Uchuti , Wani district ; † 1998 ) was a Georgian writer.
Life
He was born the son of an employee. In 1960 he finished his studies at the Tbilisi State University . He then worked for the Akhalgasrda Kommunisti newspaper . From 1962 he worked for the Ministry of Culture and then later as an inspector for theater. From 1965 he worked in the puppet theater .

Kartschchadze translated Grimm's fairy tales as well as The false Nero by Feuchtwanger and the atomic station by Laxness into Georgian . Some of his works have been translated into Russian , German and other languages.
