Du Pengyu ( Chinese  杜鹏宇 , born January 22, 1988 in Baoding , Hebei , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese badminton player .

Career

Du Pengyu's greatest success so far is winning the bronze medal at the 2009 Asian Badminton Championships in men's singles. He had previously won gold at the 2008 World University Championship . At the China Masters 2007 he failed in the round of 16 against the eventual winner Lin Dan . The round of 16 also ended up at the Malaysia Super Series 2010 and the Korea Open Super Series 2010 . He made it to the quarter-finals at the China Open Super Series 2008 and the semi-finals at the Swiss Open Super Series 2010 .
