Various fragrance lamps

An aroma lamp or fragrance lamp is a device that allows essential oils of various types and smells , usually dripped into water, to evaporate using a heat source.

Candles, tea lights and electrical devices (e.g. in the form of an incandescent lamp ) can be used as a heat source . In electric scent lamps, the essential oil is applied to strips of gauze and evaporated by a fan at room temperature. These are suitable for the therapeutic area in aromatherapy and also for children's rooms.

Often aroma lamps are designed in the form of a warmer : A frame made of ceramic , glass , metal, etc. carries or contains a small bowl that is arranged above the heat source. Aroma lamps are available in a wide variety of designs, depending on the style of the home furnishings and personal taste and preference for shape and material.

Aroma lamps are used to change the room climate and are used to influence the mood of humans and animals in aromatherapy , in the area of esotericism and wellness .
