Dulce Figueiredo

Dulce Figueiredo (born May 11, 1928 - June 6, 2011 in Botafogo , Rio de Janeiro ; née Dulce Maria de Guimarães Castro ) was the wife of the Brazilian General João Figueiredo and during his tenure as President from 1979 to 1985 First Lady of Brazil.

His marriage to Figueiredo had two sons. After the death of her husband in December 1999, she auctioned 218 objects from his estate in 2001, including a bronze sculpture of a cowboy donated by Ronald Reagan , two paintings by Di Cavalcanti , a statue of Rochus received from Antônio Carlos Magalhães , an inkwell of the Spanish King Juan Carlos I. , a silver plate by Augusto Pinochet and a cigar box by Valéry Giscard d'Estaing .
