Dunbar Ridge is a narrow and 16 km long mountain ridge in the West Antarctic Heritage Range . The ridge extends in a north-southeast direction and separates the Balish Glacier in the west from the Schneider Glacier in the east. At the southern tip is the 1670  m high Hessler Peak .

Dunbar Ridge got its name from a University of Minnesota research expedition in the summer of 1963-64 that named the ridge after Warrant Officer William Dunbar, a maintenance officer of the 62nd Transportation Detachment who assisted the expedition.
