The Dundas Church is a Presbyterian church building in the Scottish city of Grangemouth in the Council Area Falkirk . In 1980 the building was included in the Scottish monument lists, initially in category B. The upgrade to the highest category A took place in 1992.

description

The building is north of Grangemouth on Bo'ness Road ( A904 ). It was built in the neo-Romanesque style in 1894 to a design by the eminent architect John James Burnet . Individual motifs are also taken from neo-Gothic . The masonry consists of natural stone roughly cut into stone blocks. The elongated nave ends with two longitudinally connected, slate-covered gable roofs . Three twin lancet windows are installed on the east side . On the north-west side there is a relatively low bell tower with a square base, on the upper floor of which twin windows with round arches are embedded on all sides. The pyramid roof is partially covered by a cantilevered parapet. The low entrance wing leads off the west side of the tower. On the gable side, wood decorations are attached above the massive, two-winged portal.
