Duvennester Moor

Duvennest is a district of the municipality Lüdersdorf in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg . Until June 30, 1950 the place was an independent municipality.

The place was first mentioned on April 13, 1320 as Duuennest. It was created as a round piece . On July 1, 1950, the former communities of Schattin, Duvennest and Lenschow formed the new community of Schattin. On July 1, 1961, Palingen, Herrnburg, Schattin and Lüdersdorf were merged to form the Lüdersdorf community.

There are a number of medium-sized and small businesses and clubs in the village. Farms surround the village.

Between Duvennest and Herrnburg lies the Duvennester Moor, a pond with a size of almost five hectares. The stock of the water consists of bream , pike , carp and roach .

In the neighboring Lübeck-Eichholz , Duvennester Weg was named after 1945 after the place that had become inaccessible at the time due to the zone border .

On July 1, 1950, the community Duvennest was incorporated into Schattin.
