The Dykes Peak is a 2,220 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Clare Range, it rises 6 km east of Skew Peak at the head of the Upper Victoria Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1947 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after the geographer Leonard Henry Dykes (1914-2005), who spent almost 20 years various committees of the US government for research in Antarctica belonged.
