Speed skating department
When the trainer Erhard Schröck and the speed skaters Sigrid Smuda, Angelika and Manuela Hassmann changed to the ERSC in 1975 , the club name appears in the results lists of this sport, although there is no artificial ice in Ottobrunn at that time.
Ice Hockey Department
After the youth teams had already taken part in the game, the ERSC department first reported a senior team for ice hockey in 1983. This has not yet been able to qualify for a league higher than the Bayernliga , in which it last played from 1998 to 2005. After relegation, the team has been playing in the - fifth class - Bavarian regional league again since 2004/05, where they entered the qualifying round for the Bavarian Ice Hockey League a . a. started against the team of VER Selb and achieved relegation in the relegation round in the 2006/07 season. At the end of the 2009/10 season, the first senior team was relegated from the Bavarian regional league, but was again classified by the association as the 15th team in the south-west regional league. After the 2010/11 season, the team was relegated to the district league , but was able to achieve immediate promotion to the regional league. After the 2014/15 season, the team was divided into the district league for the 2015/16 season. Women's ice hockey team Twisters
More successful than the senior team is the women's team of the Twisters , which took part in the match between 2000 and 2009 , achieved the championship title in the Bavarian regional league in 2005 and - despite the problem of the open stadium - was promoted to the women's ice hockey Bundesliga . In the 2005/06 season , the team managed to stay in league sport with a lot of luck, which succeeded again in the 2006/07 season . After the sporting descent from the women's ice hockey Bundesliga in 2008/09 , the team was logged off from the game.
offspring
The greatest success in the history of the ice hockey department, however, was achieved in 1991 by the youth team with the German runner-up championship. In contrast to today's team of students, that was a great success.
today
In addition to the junior and hobby teams, the first senior team takes part in the sixth-class ice hockey district league Bayern East. Under the umbrella of the ERSC's ice hockey department, there is also the hobby-like old men's team of the U99 (called Team UHU = Under Hundred ) and the up-and-coming team of hedgehogs with many young talents.
Inline hockey
The Ottobrooklyn s inline hockey team , which for many years participated in the German Inline Hockey League (DIHL) of the German Ice Hockey Federation , has been participating in the DRIVe inline hockey league (IHL) since 2005.
Stadion
After the operation of a natural ice rink was organized between 1972/73 and 1976/77 in cooperation between ERSC , the Ottobrunn municipality and the Ottobrunn volunteer fire brigade, ice operations began in the open artificial ice rink on Haidgraben in December 1977 .
The stadium is one of the few in Bavaria where the scoreboard runs backwards. The operation of the stadium is regulated by a contract between the municipality and the ERSC association , according to which the stadium should be closed or sold by the municipality due to the operating cost deficit. However, there was no prospective buyer.
