History and general

The EURO <26 youth card was available in Austria since 1991. After the market launch by ÖKISTA, the Akzente Salzburg association was commissioned with the further development and the map in 1998. Since 2010 the youth card has been called the European Youth Card Austria (EYCA Card) and is managed by the social profit NGO Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos . The Classic Card is valid for one year, costs EUR 14 and can be purchased online.

Many regional youth cards from the federal states as well as customer cards from commercial cooperation partners bear the EYCA logo as a co-brand and are therefore fully-fledged European Youth Cards. Price and period of validity vary, but co-branded cards are usually available free of charge.
