The East Stour River is a watercourse in Kent , England . It arises from the Ash Wells on the northern edge of Postling . It flows first in a southerly direction and crosses under the M20 motorway west of junction no. 11, and then turns in a westerly direction. Its course is marked by meanders . He reaches Ashford in the south of the village and passes under the A2042 road , then turns north. It joins the Great Stour in Ashford, east of Ashford International Station .
