Ebba Haslund
Ebba Haslund (born August 12, 1917 in Seattle , † July 10, 2009 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian writer. From 1971 to 1975 she was the chairwoman of the Norwegian Writers' Association ( Den norske Forfatterforening ) and was committed to the Riksmål language of the Norwegian language .
For her book Det trange hjerte she received the Norwegian literature prize Bokhandlerprisen in 1966 .
Haslund described herself as conservative and was a striking opponent of the Iraq war from 2003, and in particular against the Norwegian participation in it.
