Eberhard Christoph Canz (born November 12, 1720 in Nürtingen , † November 16, 1773 in Tübingen ) was a German lawyer .

Eberhard Christoph Canz

Eberhard Christoph Canz was born on November 12, 1720 as the son of the theologian Israel Gottlieb Canz in Nürtingen. He studied at the University of Tübingen and was a court court advocate in Tübingen in 1744 . In 1745 he received the dignity of a legal licentiate and from 1755 worked as an associate professor and from 1759 as a full professor of law at the university. At the same time, he was appointed ducal councilor and was awarded a doctorate in both rights and philosophy . He died on November 16, 1773.
