Eberhard Fischer (politician)

Eberhard Fischer (born December 15, 1943 in Sternberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

From 1973 to 1995 Eberhard Fischer was mayor of the Hohenroda community in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district. In the state elections in Hesse in 1995 , he won the constituency of Hersfeld (a stronghold of the SPD) with 49.4% of the vote. In the state elections in Hesse in 1999 , he was able, against the trend of the SPD, to gain votes and defend the direct mandate with 50.7% of the votes. At the end of his second term of office, he left parliament on April 4, 2003.

Eberhard Fischer has been active in local politics for many years and was a community representative, member of the district council and is currently an honorary district member.
