Eberhard Gilbert Bethge

Eberhard Gilbert Bethge (born November 23, 1916 in Magdeburg , † October 15, 2006 in Lübeck ) was a German writer .

Life

Eberhard Gilbert Bethge attended high school in Magdeburg and Berlin and studied law and political science in Berlin and Rostock . He then worked in various professions, such as a lawyer, academy director of studies at the Evangelical Academy in Bad Boll , career advisor for high school graduates and college students at the Federal Employment Agency. He had been with Marie-Elisabeth born for over fifty years. Goethe married and had two sons. He last lived in Lübeck.

Services

Eberhard Bethge was a nephew of the poet Hans Bethge , about whom he wrote a biography during his retirement, as did the three-part poem Job Christ . Eberhard Bethge was deeply concerned with the tragic figure of Job. The name Job Christ creates an exciting arc from Job to Christ.
