Eberhard Lorenz

Eberhard Lorenz (born August 16, 1942 in Treffurt ) is a former German politician (SPD).

Life and work

After finishing secondary school, Lorenz completed an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic in Ulm . In the second educational path he qualified as a Dipl-Ing. (FH) electrical engineering and communications engineering and then worked as a development engineer for seven years. He completed additional studies and taught as a vocational school teacher from 1972. Lorenz is married and has one child. In the early 1960s he co-founded the Ulm Jazzkeller Sauschdall .

politics

Lorenz joined the SPD in 1963 . From 1969 to 1971 he was the state chairman of the Jusos in Baden-Württemberg . From 1971 to 1989 he was on the Ulm municipal council . Until 1980 he was also chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there. In 1980, Lorenz was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged to a total of five legislative periods until 2001. In 2001 he left the SPD.
