Eberhard Schwark

Eberhard Schwark (born April 4, 1939 in Hagen ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

From 1958 to 1963 he studied epistemology, information theory and mathematical logic at the University of Bonn as well as law and economics at the University of Bonn , the Free University of Berlin and the University of Freiburg im Breisgau . In 1963 he passed the first state examination in law. From 1963 to 1964 he was a research assistant at the University of Bonn. After the second state examination in 1968, he was a research assistant there from 1968 to 1969 . After receiving his doctorate in Bonn in 1969 with Helmut Ridder , he was a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Economics from 1969 to 1972 . In 1972 he was seconded to the staff of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC . In 1973 he was a habilitation scholarship holder, in 1975 he became a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Justice . After completing his habilitation in 1978 at the University of Bonn with Peter Raisch , he taught from 1980 to 1981 as a professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . From 1981 to 1993 he was a full professor at the Ruhr University in Bochum . From 1993 to 2004 he was a professor and chair holder at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
