Eberhard "Ebbo" Trautner (born February 7, 1967 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) is a former German football player .
Career
In his youth he played with FSV Oßweil , with SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg and with the amateurs of VfB Stuttgart . He was a substitute goalkeeper at VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga from 1986 to 2001. In total, he had 32 Bundesliga appearances during that time.
From 2001 to 2011, Trautner was almost continuously the goalkeeping coach of the first team at VfB Stuttgart. He then became goalkeeper coordinator in the youth sector at VfB.
For the 2016/2017 season, Trautner left VfB Stuttgart after more than 30 years and moved to RB Leipzig as goalkeeper coordinator .
Personal
Trautner is married and has two children. His son Tobias was in the squad of the U23 and professionals of the Stuttgarter Kickers in the 2014/15 season . He then played in the 3rd division for Sportfreunde Lotte . Since July 2019 he has been playing for the Stuttgarter Kickers again
