The church village Ebersbach was first mentioned in a document from the year 853 as " Eparespah (Bach des Eberhard) ". At that time Ebersbach was the place of a negotiation between Bishop Erchanbert (835-854) and a certain Eraloh.

The subsidiary church of St. George and Mary of the Weichs parish was first mentioned in a document 300 years later, in 1158. When Bavaria was divided three times between 1255 and 1505, which lasted 250 years, Ebersbach belonged to Lower Bavaria . The border was the Glonn, which later, until 1803, formed the border between the district courts of Kranzberg (to which Ebersbach belonged) and Dachau. In 1868 Ebersbach had 127 residents and 39 buildings.

Until 1915 Ebersbach was divided into two parishes: the residents who lived south of the church belonged to the parish of Vierkirchen, while the (larger) remainder of the Ebersbach family belonged to the parish of Weichs.

Politically, Ebersbach was part of the municipality of Asbach from 1818 to 1978. Ebersbach has been a district of Weichs since 1978.

The Erich Bagusat brickworks, which operated from 1950 to 1970s, was located in Ebersbach, on the site of which the Lindacher- and Wasenfeld development area was built and a senior citizens' home was built.
