Ecce Homo SZ

SZ is the abbreviation for the Canton of Schwyz in Switzerland and is used to avoid confusion with other entries of the name Ecce homo .

Ecce Homo is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Sattel in the canton of Schwyz between Steinen and Sattel at an altitude of 731 meters. It is named after a baroque chapel from 1667, which in turn is named after a devotional image with the Ecce homo motif.

The hamlet lies on a narrow slope terrace of the Rossberg . A border dispute is said to have taken place here in the 17th century , which prompted Meinrad Inglin to write his novella Death of the Screen Flicker . This story was made into a film under the title Frozen Heart .

The place was included in the inventory of places worth protecting in Switzerland .
