Echarding is a district of the Bavarian capital, Munich, in the Berg am Laim district .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1091 as "Erhartingin" when the Tegernsee monastery acquired the place.

Albrecht von Lerchenfeld , from 1615 to 1620 the owner of the Hofmark Berg am Laim, integrated Echarding into this Hofmark, where it remained until it was dissolved in 1848.

With the community edict, Berg am Laim was raised to an independent community in 1818 and Echarding became part of this community.

On July 1, 1913, Echarding was incorporated into Munich as part of the Berg am Laim community.

In Berg am Laim, Echardinger Straße is reminiscent of the former hamlet .
