Echeveria calderoniae is a species of the genus Echeveria ( Echeveria ) in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).

description

Echeveria calderoniae forms branched plants with very short shoots. The leaf rosettes are about 12 centimeters in diameter and consist of 20 to 30 leaves. The lanceolate to narrowly elongated, pointed leaves have a reddish tip. Their length is 2 to 6 centimeters, the width 0.5 to 0.9 centimeters. They are 2 to 4 millimeters thick and colored green. They become reddish with age.

The inflorescence is a 6 to 12 centimeter long coil . The flower stalks are 3 to 9 millimeters long. The ascending sepals are 3.5 millimeters wide and 10 millimeters long. The corolla is 8 to 12 millimeters long and has a diameter of 3 to 6 millimeters near the base. It is reddish or orange at the bottom and yellow at the top.

Distribution and systematics

Echeveria calderoniae is common in Mexico in the state of Guanajuato near Ocampo.

It was first described in 1997 by Emmanuel Pérez-Calix .
