The Eckhof (also Hofgut Eck or Eck ) belongs to the Weilheim district of the university town of Tübingen . The estate is located five kilometers southwest of the city ​​center , on the Rammert ridge at an altitude of 478  m above sea level. NHN .

history

The homestead was first mentioned around 1100 with the name mons Egge in the Hirschauer donation book. Celtic graves, however, indicate that this area was settled much earlier. Soon afterwards the farm "Egge" was mentioned in the list of goods of the Bebenhausen monastery , which was given by Pope Innocent III. was officially confirmed on May 18, 1204. The monastery sold the farm to Georg von Ehingen in 1482 and the property subsequently came into the possession of the Barons von Saint-André , the owners of the nearby Kreßbach Castle . In the 19th century, Eckhof was incorporated into Weilheim and came to Tübingen with this in 1972.

The barons are still the owners of the Eckhof today. The number 1783 is painted on the sundial on the baroque main building, the year the house was completed. Today the Eckhof borders the golf course of the "Golf Club Schloss Kressbach" in the south.
