Eckard H. Graage

Eckard Hans Uwe Graage (born March 18, 1954 in Manhagen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Graage finished school in 1974 with the Abitur in Hamburg. He then worked as a Bundeswehr officer from 1974 to 1987. During this time, in 1980 he began studying business administration at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg , which he completed with a degree in business administration . After leaving his service, he worked as an auditing assistant until 1995 . He then worked for four years as the commercial manager of a hotel until he became self-employed as a tax consultant in 1999 .

Graage is a member of the CDU, for which he was chairman of the Wandsbek district parliamentary group from 2005 to 2010. Since 2006 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU in Rahlstedt . On May 1, 2010 , he moved up to the Hamburg parliament for MP Aygül Özkan , who took over a ministerial post in the state government of Lower Saxony . In the early election in February 2011 , he lost his mandate again.

For the 2017 federal election , Graage stood as a candidate for the CDU in the Hamburg-Wandsbek constituency , but was unable to prevail, and his number 6 in the state list was not enough to enter the German Bundestag.

On February 23, 2020, Graage was able to move into the Hamburg Parliament .
