The Eckhorns are a mountain range with about six peaks in the Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It forms the north wall of the valley basin In der Schüssel in the north-central part of the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains in the Wohlthat massif .
The mountain range was discovered and named descriptively during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . In Norway it is known under the name Hjørnehorna .
