The Wohlthatmassiv is a large mountain range east of the Orvinfjella in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It consists of individual mountains and mountain ranges such as the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains , the Petermann Range and the Otto von Gruber Mountains . The highest point is the Zwieselberg at 2970  m .

The Wohlthat massif was discovered by the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher , documented with the help of aerial photographs and named after Helmuth Wohlthat (1893–1982), who was responsible for organizing the expedition as a ministerial director in the Reich Ministry of Economics .
