Eckhard Knappe
Eckhard Knappe (born May 20, 1943 in Strehlen , formerly the district of Strehlen , Silesia ) is a retired German economist and university professor .
He studied business administration and economics in Berlin and Bochum . Knappe received his doctorate in 1973. The habilitation took place in 1978 in Freiburg im Breisgau . Since 1979 he has been a university professor for economics and social policy at the University of Trier . Knapp's research focuses on service markets, labor economics, health economics and social security systems. Professor Knappe's range of courses ended in the 2008 summer semester.
