Eckhard Lodders

Eckhard Lodders (* 1957 ) is a former German basketball player who played 44 international matches for the German national team and was German champion three times with Göttingen.

career

Lodders was discovered in Göttingen by Terence Schofield and made the leap into the Bundesliga team. With the ASC 1846 Göttingen he became German champion in 1980, 1983 and 1984. Later he played at TK Hannover in the 2nd basketball league . In 1979 Lodders celebrated his debut in the German senior team, with which he took part in the Olympic elimination in Switzerland in May 1980, where he finished sixth. Lodders scored an average of 2.9 points per game over the course of the tournament. By July 1982 he played 44 international A matches for the selection of the German Basketball Federation .

Professionally, Lodders worked as a teacher in Hanover . His sons Jannik and Robin became basketball players like their father.
