Eckhard Weymann

Eckhard Weymann (* 1953 in Wuppertal ) is a German music therapist .

Weymann studied piano education at the Cologne University of Music and completed his music therapy training from 1978 to 1980 in the Herdecke music therapy mentoring course . Together with Frank Grootaers, Tilmann Weber and Rosemarie Tüpker , he founded the Institute for Music Therapy and Morphology (IMM). He received his doctorate as Dr. sc. mus. and is professor for improvisation and music therapy at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . and supervisor ( DGSv ).

His best-known publications are his psychological investigations on musical improvisation Zwischenentöne from 2004 and the Lexikon Musiktherapie from 1996, published together with Hans-Helmut Decker-Voigt , Paolo Knill and Christine Decker-Voigt .
