Eckhart Vofrey (born January 11, 1956 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

career

Vofrey played with the second representative of Eintracht Braunschweig in the amateur league when he made his debut in the Bundesliga in the 1975/76 season. On the 10th matchday, in the encounter against the eventual champions of the season Borussia Mönchengladbach , the regular strength between the posts Bernd Franke was missing , so that Uwe Hain was in the starting lineup of Eintracht. After a collision with Jupp Heynckes , Hain had to be replaced injured and Vofrey made his debut, he held the zero. By 1978 Vofrey played 81 games for the amateurs of Eintracht, but he could not prevail in the first team. He then moved to Hessen Kassel . With Kassel he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1980 . Vofrey still played for Arminia Hannover , TSV Wipshausen and Eintracht Braunschweig. After his time as a player he became a coach.
