Edda Pulst (* 1960 ) is a German professor of business informatics .

Life

From 1979 to 1984 Edda Pulst studied at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and graduated in 1985 with a degree in economics . Parallel to her studies, she worked at Pechiney in the field of data processing and organization in Düsseldorf and Paris from 1983 to 1985, and from 1985 to 1986 in the same position at Société Générale des Minerais in Düsseldorf and Brussels. From 1989 to 1994 she was a group leader for advising industry, trade and administration at the Business Institute for Organization and Automation (BIFOA), Cologne. In 1993 she did her doctorate at the University of Cologne at the chair for business informatics. rer. pole.From 1994 to 1995 she worked at the chair for corporate management with Norbert Szyperski . For her dissertation she received the Prize of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft in 1995 , endowed with 10,000 DM .

Edda Pulst has been Professor of Business Informatics at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences since 1995 .

She carried out feasibility studies in India and Nepal, works on IT application projects in China and the Middle East, held a visiting professorship at the University of Tehran and leads numerous industrial and educational projects in the Middle East. Edda Pulst is the founder of adapt2Job®. adapt2Job® closes the gap between university and job during your studies and is used in Germany and countries in the MENA region . Edda Pulst speaks English, French, Italian, Farsi, Greek and Arabic. She is a member of the German-Arab Society , the Society for Computer Science and the Palestinian-German Steering Committee in the BMBF.

Research priorities

Your current work in the IT application area includes Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) ECM, collaboration, digitization, supply chain, talent management, mobility, Industry 4.0. , Internet of Things (IoT) , logistics and 3D printing. Pulst is currently conducting research and adapt2Job®-2win trainings in the Middle East and Africa.
