Noble rice

A scion (plural: scions ) is a few centimeters long section of a rod of a noble variety , a noble mind is the bud . It is used in plant grafting and site grafting.

The cut annual shoots of the valuable variety are grafted onto the rootstock - a rhizome especially for this purpose or a variety of inferior quality .

This technique is used, for example, to propagate grape varieties that would otherwise be susceptible to attack by phylloxera .

Noble eye

A noble eye is required to inoculate on a surface (for example roses , fruit trees , ornamental trees ).

You can use the noble eye in May to June ( northern hemisphere ; 6 months offset on the southern hemisphere ) ( focus on the driving eye ); then the noble eye drives out in the same year. If it is used during June to August ( inoculation of a sleeping eye ), the noble eye will sprout in the following year.
