Edet Belzberg
Edet Belzberg is an American documentary film producer whose works have been nominated for multiple international film awards or have received awards. Her film Asphalt children in Bucharest was at the Oscar ceremony in 2002 as best documentary nomination.
biography
At the University of Colorado Boulder acquired Belzber 1991 a Bachelor of Arts degree and six years later a master of the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University in New York City.
Edet Belzberg financed her first and best-known work Asphaltkinder in Bucharest with funds from the Open Society Foundations . In the credits of this film, the filmmaker's attitude towards the possibility of intervening against the suffering of the actors is discussed:
