Edgar Iván Solís (born March 5, 1987 in Tepatitlán de Morelos , Jalisco ), also known by the nickname Tepa , is a Mexican football player who plays in midfield .

Life

Solís comes from the youth department of Club Deportivo Guadalajara , for which he completed his first professional appearance in the Mexican Primera División on August 28, 2005 in a game at Santos Laguna (0: 3) . After this nine-minute mission, four weeks passed before Solís was allowed to play his second game. On that September 25, 2005 against San Luis (2-1) he played his first game over the full distance and scored his first goal for the 2-0 break just before half-time.

In the Clausura 2006 he only came to two short appearances against Atlas (0: 3) and Toluca (0: 2). In the subsequent Apertura 2006 he was not used at all, but was at least part of the squad of the championship team from Chivas , who celebrated their eleventh title win that season.

For the Clausura 2007 Solís was loaned to Querétaro FC , for whom he was used a total of six times, but only once over the full distance of 90 minutes in his debut against the Jaguares de Chiapas (0-2) on January 27, 2007. His second appearance on February 11, 2007 at Santos Laguna (0-0) was curious when he came on as a substitute in the 60th minute and had to leave the field after a yellow-red card just 14 minutes later.

In the second half of 2007 he played again for Chivas, but only came to three appearances in the league with a total duration of 116 minutes. But in 2008 he was a regular player and scored two goals in the Clausura 2008 (in the 2-1 win in Veracruz and in the 4-0 home win over Puebla ), but received a total of nine warnings. In the Apertura 2008 both series continued insofar as he was again a regular player (with a total of 14 appearances), but was again warned noticeably often (eight times) and was thrown off the field once. In this game (3: 5 against Santos Laguna) on August 23, 2008 he experienced all ups and downs. First of all, he managed to take his team 3-2 right before the break. A quarter of an hour before the end he was sent off - at a score of 3: 3 - and was therefore not entirely irresponsible for his team's defeat. It was his last goal in the Primera División, but not his last dismissal!

In the 2010/11 season alone , in which he worked for the CF Atlante , he was sent off the field three times.
