Edi Angelillo

Edilberta Angelillo , also Edy Angelillo (born November 7, 1961 in Venice ) is an Italian actress and singer .

Life

As the daughter of the musical artist couple Franco & Regina, Angelillo had early experience with the stage; she received dance, speaking and acting lessons. At the age of 18 she played the ballerina in Maurizio Nichetti's Ratataplan ; in the same year she tried her hand at singing under the name Edi and had television appearances. Angelillo, who was praised for her fresh and spontaneous performances, played in several films until the mid-1980s and then devoted herself to theater work alongside Pippo Baudo after moderating the Sanremo Festival in 1984 . She played in La vita comincia ogni mattina and a number of youth comedies. At the end of the 1990s, she then often accepted offers from television, where she u. a. was seen in the successful series Un medico in famiglia .
