Edip Sigl

Edip Sigl (* 1985 in Turkey ) is a German-Turkish chef .

Career

Sigl grew up in Cologne . After training from 2002 at the Gut Lärchenhof restaurant in Pulheim (one Michelin star ), Sigl went to the Hugos restaurant in Berlin (one Michelin star ) in 2005 and to the Residenz restaurant at Heinz Winkler's in Aschau im Chiemgau (three Michelin stars), where he met Johann Rappenglück . In 2008 he moved to the Amador restaurant with Juan Amador in Langen (three Michelin stars) and in 2010 as sous chef at Amador's second restaurant Amesa in Mannheim (one Michelin star). In 2012 he went on a world tour .

In March 2013 he went to the restaurant Les Deux in Munich to see Johann Rappenglück (a Michelin star). He has been head chef at Les Deux since 2019 , which was also awarded a Michelin star in 2019. The second Michelin star was added in 2020.
