Johann Rappenglück

Johann Rappenglück (born July 15, 1982 in Kassel ) is a German chef.

Career

After completing his training, Rappenglück moved to Basel to the two-star restaurant Cheval Blanc in the Hotel Les Trois Rois . In 2007 he went to the three-star restaurant Residenz Heinz Winkler as head chef , where he became the restaurant's youngest head chef in 2008 at the age of 25. In 2010 he completed an internship in the three-star restaurant Arzak with Jean Marie Arzak in San Sebastian in Spain and became head chef at Dukatz in Munich .

In October 2012, he set up his own restaurant Les Deux in Munich. His then business partner and restaurant manager Fabrice Kieffer (* 1971) also worked for Heinz Winkler, where he was maître from 1996 to 2012. In 2013 Les Deux was awarded a Michelin star.

At the end of 2018, Rappenglück left Les Deux . In 2019, he and his partner took over the castle distillery at Tegernsee .
