Edita Žiobienė

Edita Žiobienė (born July 5, 1973 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian lawyer .

Life

After graduating from the Alytus Middle School in 1971, Žiobienė completed a bachelor's degree in sociology in 1995 and a master's degree in law at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas (VDU) in Kaunas in 1998 and a bachelor 's degree in law at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas in Vilnius in 2007 . In 2003 she received her doctorate in law on the subject of “Informacijos apie privatų asmens gyvenimą apsauga” at Lietuvos teisės universitetas .

From 1994 to 1998, Žiobienė worked as the chief inspector of the scientific group at the Kauno Technologijos Universitetas Department of Academic Affairs, and from 1998 to 2002 as the chief lawyer in the legal department of the Kaunas District Administration . From 1998 to 2002 Žiobienė was an assistant in the legal institute of the VDU. She taught Lithuanian constitutional law, human rights and civil law at the VDU. From 2002 to 2003 she headed the legal department of the Kaunas district administration and from 2004 to 2010 as director of the Lithuanian Center for Human Rights ( Lietuvos žmogaus teisių centras ). Since 2003, Žiobienė has been a lecturer in the Constitutional Law Department at the Law Faculty of the Mykolo Romerio universitetas. Since 2010 she has been working as the Lithuanian child rights protection officer .

Žiobienė is married and has four daughters.
