The 2015/16 season of the Erste Bank Young Stars League (EBYSL for short) was the fourth edition of the highest junior league in Austrian ice hockey, which also - as the junior league of the supranational Erste Bank ice hockey league - includes teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Participating teams
With the withdrawal of the LLZ Steiermark Süd / Graz 99ers team, another EBEL team was no longer represented in the EBYSL. A junior selection of the two Hungarian MOL league teams Debreceni HK and DVTK Jegesmedvék from Miskolc - the Debrecen-Miskolce Select - brought the field back to 14 teams.

mode
Basic round
Two rounds back and forth within the group (24 games) and a round trip across groups (14 games).
Playoff
- Quarter-finals: The 4 best-placed teams in each group have reached the quarter-finals, which will be played in best-of-three mode . The best placed team can choose the opponent from the third and fourth placed team within the group.
- Semi-finals: Will be played in best-of-three mode. In each case the team in the group that was better placed after the basic round versus the team that was worse off in the other group.
- Finale: Will be played in Best-of-Five mode. The team better placed after the regular season has home rights.
Austrian state champion
Austrian state champion cannot become an international association or an association with official academy status. If no Austrian club wins or at least reaches the EBYSL final, the national champion will be determined in a best-of-three series, namely between the semi-finals and the Austrian clubs with the highest points in the overall table after the basic round.
