Edith Gufler (born August 6, 1962 in Meran ) is a former Italian sports shooter from South Tyrol .
successes
In shooting with the air rifle over 10 meters, Edith Gufler won the silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles behind the winner Pat Spurgin from the USA ; Third place went to Wu Xiaoxuan from China .
This silver medal at the Olympics was Edith Gufler's only outstanding placement in international competitions. In Italy Gufler was number one after the Olympics; she was Italian champion and twice holder of the Italian record.
Today Edith Gufler lives with the family in Merano.
