Karen Patricia "Pat" Spurgin (born August 10, 1965 in Billings , Montana ) is a former American sports shooter. She participated in the 1984 Summer Olympics at the age of 18 and won a gold medal in the women's air rifle category. At the time, she was a student at Murray State University .

After her playing career, she worked as an assistant coach for the Alaska Nanooks shooting team at the University of Alaska Fairbanks .

The shooting range of Murray State University was named after her for her athletic achievements ( Pat Spurgin Rifle Range ).
