Edith Zitz

Edith Zitz (born May 25, 1965 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ), she was a member of the Styrian Landtag from 1995 to 2010 .

Zitz studied English, history and law at the University of Graz and in the USA and worked as a development worker in Nicaragua . She was involved in the development of the Climate Alliance project in Styria and worked in youth and adult work as well as at the social academy. From 1995 to 2010 Zitz represented the Greens in the Styrian state parliament. Zitz was the area spokesperson for the topics of social affairs, genetic engineering, generations, culture, women, the EU and human rights in the Green Parliamentary Club. In 2009 Zitz announced that he would leave the state parliament at the end of the 2010 legislative period.
