Edmund Hoffmann

Edmund Hoffmann (born April 18, 1907 in Seidenschwanz , Bohemia , † December 24, 1974 in Aalen ) was a German civil servant, city secretary in Aalen and co-founder of the Association of Expellees .

Life

Edmund Hoffmann learned the trade of belt maker , but because of his arrangement he got into the police service in Gablonz very quickly . In 1945, after being expelled , he settled in Aalen with his wife and four children, where he earned a considerable reputation in the volunteer fire brigade and received an award from the city.

He quickly found his calling and profession with the city administration of Aalen, where he was most recently city secretary until his retirement. As a co-founder of the Confederation of Expellees in 1957, which was founded as the new umbrella organization for all expellee associations, he was on its board for a while.
