Edmund Norcott

Edmund Norcott (*?; †?), Commander of the Royal Navy , was governor of the British colony of Gambia and represented the British Queen Victoria there .

Norcott was promoted to lieutenant on February 10, 1815 and commander on June 28, 1838.

On November 10, 1843 he succeeded Henry Froude Seagram as governor of Gambia, who had previously died in October 1843 of a fever infection. Norcott served briefly until the end of the year and was succeeded by Charles Fitzgerald .
