Henry Froude Seagram
Captain Henry Froude Seagram (also Henry Frouwd Seagram ; * around July 1802 in Wylye , † October 1843 in Gambia) was a British governor and represented Queen Victoria in the colony of Gambia. As the successor to Thomas Lewis Ingram , Seagram was the first governor of the Gambia colony from April 11, 1843, after the Gambia was no longer administered together with Sierra Leone. Later, however, from 1866 to 1888, the Gambia was again administered under the colony of Sierra Leone.
However, Seagram died shortly after taking office in October 1843 of a fever (malaria infection?).
