Edoardo Bruno

Edoardo Bruno (* 1928 in Rome ) is an Italian film scholar , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Bruno was a lecturer in film history at the University of Florence and wrote reviews for numerous magazines , e.g. B. for La rivista del cinematografo and La Libertà . He is also head of Filmcritica to this day .

In 1968 he made a film based on his own script , La sua giornata di gloria , in which, stylistically indebted to Cinéma vérité , the events of the year were processed and a glimpse into a possible future. The film, which was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival , was Bruno's only foray into the active side of filmmaking.
