action

Richard, infected by the political ideas of his friend Claude, found acceptance into the group of guerrilla groups that were forming and equally liked the revolutionary vocabulary - Karl Marx , Lenin , Bertolt Brecht , Mao Zedong and Che Guevara were cited, as well as Claudes Girlfriend Marguerite. Then, with Claude's leaflets in his pocket, he is caught in a police raid . The commandant outwits him - and Richard betrays his friend. Claude dies under the gunshots of the black executioners. Suspicious of his comrades, Richard wants to make up for his mistake. He's working out the plan for the raid on an ammunition depot. But Richard fails again. While the companions carry out the attack, Richard lies in Marguerite's arms.

criticism

The lexicon of international films only briefly describes the course of the plot and notes succinctly that the film is "the debut film of an Italian film critic" and that it was controversial at the 1969 Berlinale. The Protestant Film Observer sums up his criticism as follows: “Italian contribution to the discussion on the socialist revolution. In his word-determined mixture of action and agitation, the film critic Edoardo Bruno tries to show the panorama of the revolutionary political groups and to bring it up for discussion - his aim is to mobilize the viewer for their own critical thinking and thereby to participate. Although the flick largely foregoes optical qualities, it remains interesting enough, especially for a younger audience. "
