Eduard Alexejewitsch Asaba
Eduard Alexejewitsch Asaba ( Russian Эдуард Алексеевич Асаба ; born April 11, 1932 , † February 1988 in Moscow ) was a Soviet chess composer .
Asaba mainly designed chess compositions for final situations in chess. About 140 studies of him are known. He was characterized by John Roycroft as a withdrawn but helpful person.

Asaba was of Greek descent and worked temporarily as a seaman.
