Viviane Hagner (born December 21, 1976 in Munich ) is a German violinist .

Hagner, daughter of German-Korean parents, made her international debut at the age of 12. A year later she played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic in Tel Aviv . She has played under the conductors Daniel Barenboim , Claudio Abbado , Zubin Mehta , Wladimir Aschkenasi , Pinchas Zukerman and Marek Janowski .

In 2002 she played the world premiere of Chin Un-suk's violin concerto with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Kent Nagano , and in 2006 she performed Simon Holt's violin concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Jonathan Nott .

Until September 2012 she played the Stradivarius violin Sasserno from 1717, which was made available to her by the Nippon Music Foundation.

Since 2009 she has been a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts .
